Landscape Prints of Scotland

Fine art prints of Scottish landscapes

This gallery has everything that just wouldn’t fit in any other Scottish gallery! That doesn’t mean these images are somehow second-class citizens – some of them are my favourites in all of Scotland, its just that I needed to have a ‘catch-all’ gallery of images that didn’t neatly fit into another collection.

Looking at the photos that ended up in this image collection I see three of one of my favourite locations; Bow Fiddle Rock, at Porknockie, Moray. Bow Fiddle Rock is a natural sea arch lying just offshore, sculpted by wind and waves into the shape of a violin bow. It is an extraordinary natural phenomenon, but what really struck me was that every time I photographed it, even in the most gorgeous light, I was the only person there. There are also several photos of the Scottish Borders, including quite a few taken around St Abbs. Further north, there are several images from Fife, including the famous castle at St Andrews. My favourite image in Fife is of another, practically unknown castle, at Newark (no, not the ‘other’ Newark down in England). There are also photos of two Neolithic sites on Orkney; The Ring of Brodgar and the nearby Stones of Stenness, plus other assorted oddments from Dumfries and Galloway, Islay, Perthshire, the Trossachs, and Lothian. I think that covers it!
